First images from the "Briars Frome" dig site

Well we've finally got our first glimpse of how things are going at the newly discovered Briars Frome dig site, these images have been released by the University of East Anglia and are intriguing to say the least! These pictures raise so many questions...but for now we'll have to make do with the below photographs as the UEA are not responding to requests for more information at this stage...

I will continue to monitor this situation and provide updates as frequently as possible, in the interim if anyone has any theories, especially regarding those buried "boxes", then please leave a comment below...

Hi Mark I came across your blog as I was searching for info on the theme tune to Picture Box which you featured in a post and I then started reading what you had written about the mystery village of Briars Frome. One of the photos stood out and has left me baffled and that is the one of the old car that was clearly abandoned a long time ago. Do you know what make or model it is? It looks very much like a vintage Jaguar or Daimler from the 1950s or 1960s but try as I might I cannot find any images which are exactly the same. Some are very similar but there are always detail differences. There is also a photo of an early Rover P6 2000 on the Briars Frome Facebook page (I ran a 3500 for 13 years) and I hope this car goes to a good home, assuming it isn't too far gone. Best wishes Richard Groves
